Demo features:
The animation was downscaled and compressed according to the specifications of the Megadrive (320x240, 7Mhz CPU, 64KB of video ram, 4MB of cart storage).
The lossy compression is based on an implementation of the k-modes clustering algorithm. Approximately 25% of the original data is actually stored on the cartridge to re-generate each frame of the original animation.
The audio is compressed as well, using a similar technique.
The video is unpacked on the fly by the 68000 processor, the audio is decoded by the Z80 processor found on the Megadrive.
