""The NEC PC-FX isn’t too well known outside of Japan due to the lack of English friendly games on the system. Surrounded by a sea of Japanese heavy titles are a few select gems such as Chip Chan Kick (a Bubble Bobble inspired single-screen-em-up) and Battle Heat (a FMV based fighter) which make the 32-bit console an alluring import. Another title worth checking out is Chōshin Heiki Zeroigar, a post World War II scrolling shooter which has just had all its content fan translated into English.
While Chōshin Heiki Zeroigar is fully playable without any Japanese knowledge, there are a few moments in the game such as end of level upgrade sequences and of course the game’s story which often go amiss on a standard playthrough. This all new fan translation patch not only addresses these key moments littered with Japanese dialogue, but also updates all of the game’s FMV cutscenes to feature subtitles too.
A downloadable patch to apply to the game’s BIN/CUE image have been released online, allowing those with a PC-FX console to burn a new playable version of the game with English dialogue. Full instructions for those interested can be found within the download.""
