Got a pretty cheap 240GB SSD on sale (40-50) and figured i'd try and throw it in my rgh xbox.
I formatted the drive in windows to Fat32 and formatted it on the xbox dash as a USB drive. I then transferred my internal files to the ssd via usb through aurora. When i swapped out my internal 360 drive for the SSD it didn't recognize and required formatting.
When i tried to format, it required that I input my serial number and after having done so gave the error message: "there was a problem performing that action"
I reformatted in windows using Guiformat to fat32 32768 allocation size and put it in the internal slot on the xbox again. Ran into the same error when formatting.
When i plug it back in as a usb drive (after having formatted in windows to Fat32 and after having failed to format it as internal) it reads as an external usb drive.
Any help on swapping it out?

" - What brand of SSD is it? Bought a 30gb one recently off aliexpress and it wont work in my RGH but I've seen a samsung SSD work. The 360 isn't able to take advantage of all of the benefits of the SSD so you're probably not going go see major differences especially if it's a cheap off brand SSD "
- It's an HP.
My xbox 360 sees it and can format it as usb, just is having trouble formatting it as internal
