the second system: dingux system(boot from sdcard-0)

Como pueden ver el emulador de Gameboy Advance funcionó, pero la resolución estaba dando problemas. Entonces surgío la solución !!!

Note to mods: no roms or bios files in there.

Además se encontró que cambiando los valores hexadecimales en el emulador Finalburn que tráe el NeoGeo X se puede corregir los errores en la resolución y en la mála calidad de la imagen.

I hex edited nxu.dge (fba emulator) that comes on the ngx to correct some of the crappy video issues.

To use it, decompress then copy it over the existing nxu.dge binary on the apps partition.

I have only tested this on the ngx lcd and hdmi ports. The changes only applies to actual game play, so expect the menu system to still look crappy

The following changes were made

LCD:
The default emu resolution is now 320x224, which means there will be black bars to fill out the rest of the screen. The black bars are on the sides and the bottom. Because of how the assembly was done its would have been a serious pita to center it top to bottom.
The alternate resolution is the previous 4:3 scaled version.

HDMI:
The resolution for emu is now 640x448, with some black bars on the sides and bottom.

I switched the scaling algorithm to be linear, it looks like it was bi-linear before. This gets rid of a lot of the blurriness, but not all of it.

Heres some examples. Its kinda hard to get a clear shot because stuff is moving, but if you focus on the static parts of the image you can see the difference.

Notice the players score at the top and HP/POW bars at the bottom.

For metal slug, compare the difference between "SUPER VEHICLE-001" text in the title and the 'credits' isn't cut off at the bottom.

That's something tommo needs to do. I don't have any info on their interface to access the video device. This modified fba is me directly editing the executable which makes it extra difficult if new stuff needs to be added.

The ngx is sending 720×480 signal to hdmi output. This modified version of fba is generating a 640x448 (2x neo-geo's normal res) image with black bars to get up to the 720×480 hdmi output.

Saben que hace días que estoy "me la compro, no me la compro, me la compro, no me la compro". Podría hacer la gran Gono y lamer todos esos hermosos precintos nuevos y dormir acurrucado con la caja con su celofán intacto por el sólo hecho de tener una consola de SNK de edición limitada. La compraría solamente porque me parece linda y no demasiado cara para lo que es.

Sin embargo, muchísimo menos cuesta comprar un cable HDMI y un buen joystick arcade y emular con la laptop enchufada al LCD. Comparada con la AES original, ya se sabe que la calidad de audio y video es menor y que si bien la de los materiales no es mala no es igual a la de la original. Yo pensé que soportaba cartuchos de AES, en ese caso la hubiese comprado de una. Pero hay algo que no me convence, no sé si van a lograr ese "empujón".

Tendría que decidirme en los próximos días, eso es lo peor.
